The Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo and the South 40 Committee awarded 79 scholarships totaling $78,000 to students in McLennan County as well as surrounding counties for the 2010-11 school year. From the qualified applications received, at least one senior at each of the public high schools, private and home schools in McLennan County were awarded a scholarship. In addition, scholarship opportunities were available for students in Bell, Bosque, Hill, Falls, Limestone and Coryell Counties.
