INTRODUCES THE MUSIC ZONE

– The 2013 Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo presented by HEB proudly introduces
the all new Music Zone which will be home to the Bud Light Music Stage. This year’s fair runs from Thursday, October
3 through Saturday, October 12.
The
Music Zone will offer fans six nights of heart pounding entertainment in an
outdoor setting which will feature “Music Zone Girls,” drink specials, contests
and giveaways!! For those that show up
early, they’ll receive a gift every night to include t-shirts, hats, ear buds,
key chains, beach balls and retro glasses. Contests for this area include the Justin Boots Ring Toss, Allen Samuels
Paper Plane Contest, Dance-off and more. The Music Zone opens at 7 p.m. on concert nights and the music gets
underway around 8 p.m. during the week and 8:30 p.m. on weekends.
The
2013 entertainment lineup will be bigger than ever in the Music Zone, which
will require a separate ticket purchase. Both in 2011 and 2012, surveyed
fairgoers said they would pay for an additional ticket for a major singer or
band. As a result, the Fair made the
decision to spend more on entertainment and bring in more well-known
artists.
Four-time
Academy of Country Music nominee Lee Brice gets this parking lot party kicked
off on Friday, October 4, along with The Brett Hendrix Band. Cost is $21 and includes gate admission to
the Fair.
On
Saturday, October 5, the Eli Young Band will bring a crazy good time to the
Music Zone. Opening for EYB is Texas
Country singer Curtis Grimes. Cost is
$21 and includes gate admission to the Fair.
Next
up in the Music Zone is Honky Tonk Kid – Aaron Watson – on Wednesday, October
9. Opening for Aaron, is Central Texas
native SaraBeth. Cost is $16 and
includes gate admission to the Fair.
Acclaimed
singer, songwriter and musician – Andy Grammer – will make you want to keep
your head up while you let your hair down during his performance on Thursday,
October 10. Original Red Dirt Texas
Country group – The Chris Low Band – will get the night started. Cost is $21 and includes gate admission to
the Fair.
On
Friday, October 11, you’re going to love Chris Young’s performance like there’s
no tomorrow. Opening for Chris Young is
the ever favorite Texas born-and-bred singer/songwriter Granger Smith. Cost is $21 and includes gate admission to
the Fair.
Closing
out the Music Zone on Saturday, October 12, is the always loved and
entertaining Randy Rogers Band. Opening
for the Randy Rogers Band is the no-bull, straight from the heart singer Brian
Keane. Cost is $21 and includes gate
admission to the Fair. VIP tickets are
available this night.
For
the music enthusiasts, the Fair is introducing a Music Zone Pass. The Music Zone Pass will get you into all six
concerts and includes gate admission to the Fair for those six nights for $60,
a 50% savings off the gate ticket price.

at 4601 Bosque Boulevard between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., prior to the
Fair’s opening day of Thursday, October 3.

2013, the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo presented by HEB will celebrate its
61st Anniversary! Over the past 60 years the Fair & Rodeo has offered
