The
Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo presented by H-E-B is proud to announce that
their national anthem singer – Emily Faith Wilson – is a finalist in the
Wrangler National Anthem Contest.
“My
roots are country and this is such an amazing honor,” commented Emily. “I am so thankful to the Heart O’ Texas staff
for always welcoming me and supporting my talent. I just want to do what the Lord wants me to
do but it would be very exciting to sing at the Wrangler NFR.” If Emily wins, this will be her first trip to
the Las Vegas Wrangler NFR. She has been
singing the anthem for the All American ProRodeo Finals for the last six years.
The
contest was open to individuals nominated by a rodeo who have performed the
anthem at a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo within the last five years. Rodeos from across the country submitted
their anthem singers for the contest which was narrowed down by a selection
committee appointed by Las Vegas Events to 12 finalists (four finalists from
each rodeo size category: small, medium and large).
Finalist
videos will be uploaded for fan voting from October 15-31 and the winners (one
each from each rodeo size category) will be announced on November 2.
Winners
will perform the national anthem prior to the start of one Wrangler NFR
performance, receive roundtrip airfare for two to/from Las Vegas, two nights
hotel accommodations, a pair of tickets to the rodeo the night they are
performing and their name and photo will appear in the official Wrangler NFR
souvenir program.
Fan
voting will begin on Tuesday, October 15 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time and will
end on Wednesday,
October 30 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Fan

November 1.

performance in the last few years you know Emily deserves this honor. We are asking our community to help us get
