The Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo has announced its annual local band contest for its Music Zone.We are looking for three local bands to hit the Bud Light Music Stage on three separate nights to get the party started during the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo this October 2-11.
Local bands can visit our Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo Facebook page, hit the “Like” button (if they haven’t already), fill out the entry form and upload their video submission through YouTube. The video must show the band during a performance – it can be something a friend shot at a recent show or one professionally recorded. All video submissions must be submitted no later than 1 p.m. on Monday, June 30.
Approved entries will be posted to our Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo Facebook page on June 30, where fans will have one week to vote.Voting will begin at 5 p.m. on June 30 and end at 10 a.m. on July 7. The three bands with the most votes will win an opening spot on the Bud Light Music Stage and $500! Winners will be posted to our Facebook page on
July 11. This contest is open to bands in McLennan and the surrounding Counties.
In 2014, the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo presented by HEB will celebrate its 62nd Anniversary! Over the past 61 years the Fair & Rodeo has offered Central Texas a place to come and support the community while enjoying the sights, sounds and smells that make the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo what it is! The Extraco Events Center, home of the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo, is the center of entertainment in Central Texas.
