Children from 4 - 8 years old can enter the contest. Age is based on the child’s age as of the date of the competition. There will be one girl and one boy winner from the two age group divisions, 4-6 years old and 7-8 years old. The contest will be held October 13, 2024 at 2:00pm.
ENTRY: Entry fee is $25. Online registration deadline will be October 8th by 5pm. First come, first served. A maximum of 20 entries each for each age group will be accepted. Each participant will be mailed a fair admission ticket for entry the day of the event.
JUDGING TIME: Please arrive no later than 1:15pm for lineup for the contest. Please only one adult per child in the stage area. All other family members must watch from the audience.
ATTIRE: Western/vaquero or combination of vaquero/folkloric.
REQUIREMENTS: Children will be expected to introduce themselves and say where they are from. An adult can accompany on stage (please dress accordingly). Judging will be based on attire, poise, and character.
PRIZES: Each winner will receive a Crown, Sash, and Trophy. El Rio Western Wear will provide boots to winner.
