Sweetheart & Mascot Program


The Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo Sweethearts help promote, support and represent the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo at various community events throughout the year including festivals, fundraisers, benefits and parades. In addition, they serve as public relations ambassadors for the Fair & Rodeo and volunteer a minimum of 100 hours of community service. Scholarship opportunities are also available!

Requirements:

  • You must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in high school for the 2022-2023 school year.
  • You must have an 85 or above cumulative grade average.
  • You must be a resident of Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Hill, Limestone or McLennan Counties.
  • You must be willing and physically able to serve as a volunteer for a minimum of 100 hours throughout the year of which 30 hours will be served during the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo October 6-16, 2022.
  • You must sell a minimum of $500 in tickets and/or sponsorship packages during the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo Pre-Sale Campaign.

2022 Miss Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo Crowned

Congratulations to Kelsiy Kniffen for being crowned Miss Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo for 2022-23! Kelsiy is a student at Lorena High School and is the daughter of Trevor and Nikki Kniffen. She will represent the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo at various community events throughout the year.

Kelsiy is very active as a member of Peer Assistance & Leadership, a Spirit Leader, a member of the National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and being involved in FFA events. Outside of school, she is active in her church, baking, skeet shooting, sports, and riding horses. After serving as Miss Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo and graduating high school, she plans to attend Texas Tech Waco majoring in Family Consumer Science and eventually become a High School Teacher/Coach.
