There’s
no better way to kick off the 61st annual Heart O’ Texas Fair &
Rodeo presented by HEB than with the new life in the all new Avenue of Breeds
Birthing Center. This morning the Fair
welcomed seven little lambs into the world and that’s just the beginning.
The
Avenue of Breeds Birthing Center will provide an educational experience where
the public can witness up close farm animals giving birth or caring for their
young.
If
you’ve never experienced the giving of livestock birth first hand, the Birthing
Center is a “must see” educational and experiential exhibit at the Fair. Fairgoers may have the opportunity to see
mother sheep and cows deliver their young and care for them as they find their
legs and begin life. They can also catch
a glimpse of hatching chicks.
Over
the past 60 years the Fair & Rodeo has offered Central Texas a place to
come and support the community while enjoying the sights, sounds and smells
that make the Heart O' Texas Fair & Rodeo what it is! The Fair is held annually at the Extraco
Events Center in Waco, TX, with over 198,000 in attendance in 2012. For more information about the Heart O’ Texas
